Habitat for Humanity Youth Group
The Habitat for Humanity of Grays Harbor Youth Group supports the affiliate by raising money and increasing visibility for Habitat in Grays Harbor County. Local youth events include walking with the Habitat float in local parades, working at the Habitat Youth Carnival, and staffing a Habitat for Humanity booth at local fairs and trade shows. The Youth Group also raises money for Habitat operations by sponsoring an aluminum can recycling project and selling Habitat for Humanity T-shirts.

Youth Group News
Last year the Youth Group had a float in the Rusty Scupper's Pirate Daze parade, Festival of People parade in Montesano, Outlaw Days parade in Elma, Logger's Playday parade in Hoquiam, and the Firefly parade.
Eight Youth Group volunteers were among the 18 who staffed the Habitat for Humanity of Grays Harbor booth at the Grays Harbor County Fair in August of 2004. These volunteers sold T-shirts, collected aluminum cans, and raised $72.14 in donations. The Youth Group wants to thank everyone who helped during Fair week!
The Youth Group held a Carnival at the Epicenter in Hoquiam on October 30th. Children in the community had the opportunity to play various games and win prizes. The proceeds from the carnival will be used to help the local Habitat for Humanity build homes for families in Grays Harbor County.
